The unSUMMIT is the premier educational event for hospitals interested in Barcoding at the Point of Care (BPOC). Since 2005, our mission has been to bring together those who shared our passion for patient safety and to provide them with an environment where that passion can develop into the best practice. Industry-wide overviews and process theories are useful starting points, but to affect real change, care providers need the tools and lessons gained from real-world experience.

Barcode point-of-care (BPOC) systems have been in use for 20 years yet fewer than 35% of hospitals are using this critical safety measure for medication administration. Hospitals cite numerous legitimate reasons for the lack of adoption including budget constraints, competing IT priorities, and the lack of unit dose barcoded drug packages. Board of Trustees

according to the CPhA bylaws, adopted in 1970 and amended periodically, the Association is governed by two separate and distinct bodies – a Board of Trustees and a House of Delegates.
